“Here, living is an art” begins with the present moment. Here, in the atmosphere of La Dixmeresse.

Taking your time, recharging your batteries… we wish you will appreciate this great and full time activity. That is why we have designed your room to be your first fulfilment cocoon.

Then, whether it is during a sunny spring or autumn afternoon or a cool summer afternoon, the living room, the terrace, the flowered garden with its water lounge and deck chairs invite you to take time to read or to have discussions, but also to meditate and contemplate.

“Où finit la paresse, où commence la contemplation?” – Where does laziness end, where does contemplation start? Jean Dutourd

Electric Bicycle Rental

As soon as you live La Dixmeresse, you find small country roads and paths. Two loops for bike go in front of our house, but it can also be your starting point to visit many places of interest and discovery according to your choices or our advice.
In summer, no need to go towards bridges to cross the Loire: you can take the crossing in typical local boats in La Chapelle sur Loire in 3,5 km of La Dixmeresse. It is reserved for the walkers on foot and by bicycle and it is a unique and intense moment to live.

To enable you to freely feel the landscapes, pleasures and colours of the Loire as close as possible, we let electric bicycles – frames for men and women – with a Croozer trailer for children and a baby sit – optional. Thus, you can ride over 5, 10 or… 60 km, saving 30% of energy thanks to the battery. You will enjoy rediscovering bike riding pleasures without using up all your energy. 20 €/bike per day or 5 € /hour.

Moreover, ask Bruno to give you his itinerary recommendation and Valérie to reveal her favourite places and you will go with an annotated map and a picnic basket – optional (18 €/pers).

For those who love music, there are music festivals: Au fil du Jazz in Bourgueil in early February and Brass Band at the end of June / Blues in early July in Avoine / Chinon en Jazz on Pentecost / Concerts in Fontevraud in autumn – see programme

For some thrills, you will be delighted by one of the eight courses of the tree climbing park of St Benoît-la-Forêt – open every afternoon.

Children and adults alike will be pleased by the steam train of the Lake of Rillé.

If you are looking for a more original activity, visit La Cab’ânes in Restigné for a peaceful moment with donkeys.
